During an almost 50 year career in learning, Tony has been the author of 11 books, 350 research papers, and an influential, much visited blog on online learning and distance education . This first instalment sets the stage by looking at the roles of technology and online learning and outlining the seven essential building blocks to be covered in the instalments over the next few weeks.
