LessonApp provides tools to design lessons in "the Finnish way," basing its education practices on scientific research. LessonApp helps teachers plan pedagogically meaningul lessons based on a socio-constructivist approach where learning is viewed as an active, not passive, process in which knowledge is constructed by the learner, knowledge is mutually built and constructed in the social context of learning, previous learning is made relevant with new knowledge, the teacher's role is to support and nurture the learning process as a facilitator, and that learning is supposed to be fun.
