Learn how Dr. Iris Epstein, Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at York University, co-designed, and developed with students and faculty across York University, an interactive web-based resource toolbox to support innovative teaching and learning using smartphone video called the Smartphone Accommodation Resource Toolbox (SmART).

Iris Epstein is an assistant professor at the school of Nursing, Faculty of Health at York University. Iris teaches graduate and undergraduate nursing research, ethics and practice-based skills courses at York University and is a faculty member in the graduate program in Critical Disability Studies at York University. She is also the co-founder of the I.R.I.S lab. Iris program of research focuses on outcomes emerging from the intersect between health, technology and place using critical theory, mixed methods design; disability as pedagogy, video-based practices, and storytelling methods. In particularly, iris program of research co-develops knowledge translation strategies for inclusive education in health professional and interdisciplinary practices. She led the Smartphone Accommodation Resource Toolbox (SmART) an interdisciplinary tool for accommodating teaching and learning practice-based skills.
