Stefan Hrastinski is based in Sweden, but this rich collection of specific case examples of technology in use for learning in colleges and universities has material from around the world and from a range of disciplines, including math, science, writing, film and many other subjects. Various technologies and approaches are examined – discussion forums, blogs, collaborative group work and virtual teams, the use of video and vlogs as well as several other approaches. One strength of this book is that there are examples of success and failure – not everything worked out in the way the instructor thought it would. But the collection is inspiring, encouraging and empowering.
