Each year, Contact North | Contact Nord keeps track of books related to online, distance and flexible learning. We read, review and share. 2023 has been especially good for this field of study, with books about artificial intelligence taking centre stage.
Our focus is on books that speak to teaching, learning and assessment, and how colleges, polytechnics, universities and Indigenous institutes leverage flexible learning to improve learning outcomes.
We keep in mind the work of instructors, instructional designers, educational technology specialists, and administrators, seeking books that are relevant and helpful to their work. We also occasionally explore books that speak to policy in higher education, although given that our primary target audience is in North America, we try to ensure these books are not too context-specific.
