Book Review

The idea here is simple: platforms will replace educational systems and structures to deliver quality education on demand. Just as newspapers and television have moved from a “traditional” model to multiple channels, so will education. The eighteen contributors all buy into this disruptive narrative, despite compelling evidence that the “traditional” system is quite capable of resisting change and that the policy-landscape, especially in the Global North and advanced economies, prefers the existing (even if under-performing) system to any alternatives yet presented. The editors recognize this. A key part of this book focuses on the policy enablers for change.
