82% of Canadian Universities, and Colleges Now Offer Online Courses

Preliminary results from the 2018 National Survey of Online and Digital Learning reveal substantive growth in online learning in Canadian post-secondary education. Of the 234 responding colleges, universities and CEGEPs:

  • 82% now offer online programs or courses;
  • 68% identify online learning as very or extremely important to their future plans;
  • 78% view online learning outcomes as equivalent to face-to-face learning outcomes;
  • Key benefits of online learning are increased student access and flexibility, attracting students beyond traditional service areas, and increasing student options for credential completion; and
  • The reach of the 2018 survey represents 96% of the higher education student population in Canada.

International Forum for Women in E-learning
IFWE: IF WE Are Visible!!

November 28 – 30, 2018
Hotel Contessa, San Antonio, TX

The United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) is proud to present the 8th International Forum for Women in E-Learning (IFWE). As a forum, IFWE includes open discussions, a voicing of ideas, and presentations that include audience participation. It is designed to tap into the resources of the attendees as well as other experts in their profession.

In addition to sharing information about e-learning programs and strategies, attendees discuss relevant issues, and gain a better understanding of how to be a successful leader, up-and-coming leader, or support person in distance and online learning.  

IFWE 2018 includes over 40 concurrent sessions, keynotes from five education and industry leaders, and several options for attendees to build networks and establish mentoring relationships. Click here for the full agenda.
