The world’s 10 largest open universities have a combined enrolment exceeding 16.5 million students, with the largest numbers in Asia followed by Africa and Europe.
Open universities currently use a range of pedagogical approaches and delivery modes ranging from print, to radio and television, online, blended learning or combinations of these delivery forms.

Join colleagues at La Cité collégiale in Ottawa on February 21, 2018, for the first Francophone Open Education Awareness event. The event, sponsored by eCampusOntario, will provide Francophone educators, administrators and students with an opportunity to connect and discuss the potential impact of open practice in the Francophone community. The event will gather experts, enthusiasts and other interested parties from across Ontario and French-speaking Canada to share in the event.
