An exploration of the risks of non-adoption of AI, including a summary of the debate around the risks of adoption, an introduction to the risks of non-adoption including digital divide and social equity and an exploration of current patterns in adoption.

For many people in the world of education, helping to democratise our students’ access to knowledge, skills, employment and wellbeing is a key part of what we do and why we are so committed to our work.

In the last year, AI has been hailed by many, including governments, as a golden bullet to help to reduce the digital, education, social and economic divide and bring more equity to the world of education. But is this true?

In this engaging and interactive presentation, participants will explore the potential of AI to reduce e digital, education, social and economic divide but also engage with data that suggests that AI is already expanding rather than reducing theses divides.

Rather than assuming that AI is a “great leveller”, we need to acknowledge its risks and use it intentionally to ensure that it reduces rather than increases existing divides between rich and poor individuals, schools and countries.

Key takeaways:

This webinar will help you to:

  • Understand the relationship between AI & Education Equity
  • Get to grips with the story of AI & Education Equity  so far, and where we are right now.
