Stephen Murgatroyd, PhD FBPsS FRSA, is the former Dean, Faculty of Business at Athabasca University where he led the team that created the world’s first fully online MBA in 1993-4. He has been a pioneer of technology-enabled learning since he worked for The Open University (UK) 1973-1985. A prolific author – his book The Future of Higher Education in an Age of Artificial Intelligence – was his 50th text – keynote speaker and consultant, he has worked around the world to support innovative and courageous leaders change how their institutions and higher education eco-systems work. He holds an Honorary Doctorate from Athabasca University for his pioneering work in e-learning and is the recipient of a King Charles III Coronation Medal for his services to higher education in Canada.
