Dr. Dianne Conrad is the author of Assessment Strategies for Online Learning – Engagement and Authenticity, a practical book of advice and support for faculty members seeking to develop meaningful, authentic, formative and summative assessments for learning. She has thirty-five years’ experience in teaching and researching in post-secondary institutions in Canada and the US with a particular expertise in adult and distance education, online learning, and prior learning assessment and recognition. She continues to teach at the Centre for Distance Education of Athabasca University, is the former co-editor of the International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning (IRRODL) and is an editorial board member of several international journals.
