Dr. Owston leads the development of AI apps, including AI Tutor Pro and AI Teaching Assistant Pro, in Contact North | Contact Nord’s AI Innovation and Development Lab. A pioneer in teaching and learning with the web from its early days, Dr. Owston specializes in the evaluation of technology-based educational programs across multiple sectors. His extensive body of work includes numerous publications in top-tier journals and significant contributions to the field of blended learning in higher education. He is a university professor emeritus, former dean of the Faculty of Education, and founding director of the Institute for Research in Learning Technologies at York University in Toronto, Canada.
