The Top 200 Tools for Learning 2019 offers a wealth of online tools and resources chosen as the most useful and effective by 2,500 learning professionals from around the world. 

The 2019 list is led by YouTube and Google Search, with three specialized lists highlighting the tools found most useful for personal and professional learning; workplace learning and higher education learning.

The list features basic information on each tool, a link to its website and a compilation of comments on its usefulness (or lack of) from education professionals.

Compiled annually by Jane Hart, this list is an excellent resource for assessing and accessing the key online tools for education.

Encouraging Active Learning in an Online Information Literacy Course at Wageningen University & Research in The Netherlands

Discover how information specialists at Wageningen University & Research in The Netherlands developed an online 20-hour, information literacy course to support new online master’s degrees programs. Creating the online course required replacement of content, practice and feedback loop of the on-campus course with effective online learning in half the time of the face-to-face course.
