Robots will not replace professors anytime soon. While developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are occurring at a rapid pace, education is fundamentally about relationships – between the student and the professor, students and students, students and knowledge. Provided those who teach truly engage their learners in genuine, authentic inquiry, AI and robotics will supplement and support teaching and learning. That is the thesis of this book, which offers a model of the way in which those engaged in teaching and the design of learning can leverage emerging technologies to enable both differentiated instruction and more personalized learning.
